QR Codes in Oman E-Invoicing
For businesses making consumer sales, the QR code is an important part of the human-readable invoice.
Who generates it?
According to OTA's June 2026 FAQ, the taxpayer (seller) generates the QR code.
Where does it appear?
OTA states that the QR code is required on the human-readable invoice, not inside the structured e-invoice itself.
Which transactions?
The latest OTA FAQ states it is mandatory for B2C transactions, whether full or simplified.
What information is represented?
OTA identifies seller name, seller VATIN, timestamp, invoice total including VAT, VAT total and seller UUID, with technical details referenced in the Oman architecture documentation.
