Oman Business Guide

What Information Does an E-Invoice Need?

A compliant electronic invoice needs more structured information than a simple printed bill. Your software should collect this information without making the process complicated.

Seller

Business identity, VAT information and address details.

Buyer

Buyer identity and tax/electronic details where required.

Invoice

Invoice number, date, type, currency and unique identifiers.

Items

Description, quantity, unit price and applicable VAT treatment.

Tax & totals

VAT categories/rates, taxable values, VAT totals and invoice totals.

Payment

Payment method, terms and other information when applicable.

The technical PINT-OM specification contains mandatory and conditional fields. The invoicing application should decide which fields are required for each transaction.
